How Trinidad and Tobago’s 25%/30% income tax works

Trinidad and Tobago tax income after a TT$90,000 personal allowance: chargeable income up to TT$1,000,000 at 25% and the excess at 30%. The allowance and rates are stable across 2023 to 2026, so the calculator applies the same bands each year.

NIS and Health Surcharge

Employees also pay National Insurance (NIS) and a Health Surcharge. These are documented but not applied, so the calculator shows the allowance plus the 25%/30% bands as a transparent estimate. Consult the Inland Revenue Division for exact figures.
