How to use Armenia Income Tax Calculator

This Armenia income tax calculator works out the flat 20% personal income tax that applies to employment income in Armenia for 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Armenia withholds the 20% at source with no tax-free threshold, so if you earn AMD 6,000,000 your income tax is AMD 1,200,000. Employees also pay a 5% funded-pension contribution (capped on high incomes) and a flat military/stamp duty, which are documented but not deducted, so the figure is a transparent estimate on gross salary. The calculator shows your income tax, effective rate and take-home pay in Armenian dram, and lets you compare any two tax years side by side.

  1. Select your tax year (2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026).
  2. Enter your annual gross income in Armenian dram (AMD).
  3. Keep the filing status as Individual.
  4. Click Calculate to see your income tax, effective rate and take-home pay.
  5. Turn on the year-comparison view to see two tax years side by side.

How Armenia’s flat 20% income tax works

Armenia levies a single flat personal income tax of 20% on employment income, withheld at source. There is no tax-free threshold, so the 20% applies from the first dram. The reform that phased the rate down from 23% reached 20% in January 2023, and the rate has been unchanged across 2023 to 2026, so the calculator returns a consistent 20% effective rate on gross salary.

Pension and duties not modelled here

Beyond income tax, employees pay a mandatory 5% funded-pension contribution (capped on high incomes) and a flat military/stamp duty. These reduce net pay in practice but are documented rather than deducted, so the calculator shows income tax on gross as a transparent upper estimate. Consult the State Revenue Committee for exact figures.
