Overview

ToolsHub is built on a simple principle: your data stays on your device. Almost every tool on this site processes files and data entirely within your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded to our servers unless a tool explicitly requires it (and those tools will clearly say so).

What Data We Collect

We collect analytics data only — no personal information. Specifically:

  • Page views and navigation paths (via Google Analytics 4)
  • Tool usage events (e.g. tool opened, completed, file downloaded) — no file contents
  • Browser type, operating system, and approximate region (city-level, not precise location)
  • Referrer URL (which site linked to us)

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address (beyond region-level analytics), file contents, passwords you generate, text you enter, or any other personal data.

How Our Tools Work

All client-side tools (PDF, image, text, calculator, color, date, generator tools, etc.) run entirely in your browser. Files you drop or text you enter never leave your device. Server-side tools (such as DNS lookup, IP geolocation, and other network tools) do send a minimal query to our API — only the domain name or IP address you enter, never any personal file data.

Cookies

We use cookies for:

  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 sets cookies to distinguish users and sessions.
  • Theme preference: A theme key in localStorage saves your light/dark mode preference. This never leaves your browser.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing cookies.

Third-Party Services

  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregated, anonymised usage statistics.
  • Google AdSense — ad serving (if shown). Google may use cookies for ad personalisation. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider. Standard access logs (IP, timestamp, URL) are retained per Vercel's policy.

GDPR & CCPA Rights

Because we collect minimal data, most GDPR/CCPA rights are straightforward:

  • Right to access: We hold only anonymised analytics — there is no personal profile to access.
  • Right to erasure: Analytics data is aggregated and cannot be linked back to you.
  • Opt out of analytics: Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or use your browser's privacy settings.
  • California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information.
