How to use Mongolia Income Tax Calculator

This Mongolia income tax calculator works out the flat 10% personal income tax that applies to employee salaries in Mongolia for 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Mongolia withholds the 10% at source, so if you earn MNT 50,000,000 your income tax is MNT 5,000,000. Social-insurance contributions of about 11.5% and an annual tax credit are documented but not deducted, so the figure is a transparent estimate on gross salary. The calculator shows your income tax, effective rate and take-home pay in Mongolian togrog, and lets you compare any two tax years side by side.

  1. Select your tax year (2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026).
  2. Enter your annual gross income in Mongolian togrog (MNT).
  3. Keep the filing status as Individual.
  4. Click Calculate to see your income tax, effective rate and take-home pay.
  5. Turn on the year-comparison view to see two tax years side by side.

How Mongolia’s flat 10% salary tax works

Mongolia taxes employee salaries at a flat 10%, withheld at source. A progressive 10–20% scale applies only to very high non-salary and entrepreneurial income; ordinary salaries are taxed at the flat 10% rate, unchanged across 2023 to 2026, so the calculator returns a consistent 10% effective rate on gross salary.

Social insurance and tax credit not modelled here

Employees also pay social-insurance contributions of about 11.5% of salary and may claim an annual personal income-tax credit. These affect net pay but are documented rather than deducted, so the calculator shows income tax on gross as a transparent upper estimate. The togrog is shown without decimals. Consult the General Department of Taxation for exact figures.
