How to use Belize Income Tax Calculator

This Belize income tax calculator works out Belize income tax at the flat 25% rate after the BZ$26,000 basic relief for 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Residents earning up to BZ$26,000 a year are effectively exempt; above that the 25% rate applies to income after the relief. The calculator shows your income tax, effective rate and take-home pay in Belize dollar, and lets you compare any two tax years side by side.

  2. Enter your annual gross income in Belize dollar (BZD).

How Belize’s flat 25% income tax works

Belize applies a flat 25% income tax on chargeable income after a BZ$26,000 basic personal relief, so residents earning up to BZ$26,000 pay no income tax. The rate and threshold are stable across 2023 to 2026. A tapering relief applies up to about BZ$29,000.

Reliefs and social security

Charitable donations and other reliefs, and employee social-security contributions, are documented but not applied beyond the BZ$26,000 basic relief, so the calculator shows 25% on income after the relief as a transparent estimate. Consult the Belize Tax Service for exact figures.
