How to use Cayman Islands Income Tax Calculator

This Cayman Islands income tax calculator confirms that the Cayman Islands levy no personal income tax, no payroll tax and no employee social-security tax, so salaries are tax-free for 2023 to 2026. Whatever salary you enter, the income tax is zero and you keep effectively 100% of gross before pension savings. The calculator shows your take-home pay in Cayman dollars and lets you compare tax years side by side. The government is funded by import duties and fees rather than income tax.

  1. Select your tax year (2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026).
  2. Enter your annual gross income in Cayman dollars.
  3. Keep the filing status as Individual.
  4. Click Calculate to see your income tax, effective rate and take-home pay.
  5. Turn on the year-comparison view to see two tax years side by side.

Your data never leaves your device — 100% private processing.

How Cayman Islands’s income tax works

The Cayman Islands have no direct taxation of individuals. The 0% is structural rather than an annual figure, so income tax is modelled as a single 0% bracket spanning all income, identical across 2023–2026, and take-home equals gross for the default case.

Contributions and what is not deducted here

There is no payroll or social tax withheld from pay. Employers must enrol employees in a mandatory private pension (employee share about 5% of earnings up to a ceiling) and provide health insurance; the pension is a personal saving, not a tax. The Cayman dollar is pegged to the US dollar at about 1 KYD = 1.20 USD.
