How the Isle of Man’s 10%/22% income tax works

The Isle of Man taxes income after a personal allowance of around £14,500: the first £6,500 of taxable income at the 10% standard rate and the remainder at the 22% higher rate. The allowance and rates are stable across 2023 to 2026, so the calculator applies the same bands each year.

Tax cap and National Insurance

A personal tax cap can be elected to limit total annual liability, and National Insurance is payable. These are documented but not applied, so the calculator shows the allowance plus the 10%/22% bands as a transparent estimate. Consult the Isle of Man Income Tax Division for exact figures.
