How to use Fancy Text Generator

Generate stylish Unicode text — bold, italic, script, bubble, strikethrough, and dozens more — instantly in your browser with no server uploads. Fancy text uses Unicode's Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block and other character ranges to mimic different typefaces without installing any fonts. Type once and copy the style you want for Instagram bios, Twitter names, Discord nicknames, or any platform that supports Unicode.

  1. Type or paste your text into the input field.
  2. Browse the style gallery — all styles update in real time as you type.
  3. Click the copy button next to the style you want.
  4. Paste the copied text directly into Instagram, Twitter, Discord, or any Unicode-supporting platform.

Your data never leaves your device — 100% private processing.

How Unicode fancy text works

Fancy text does not use custom fonts. Instead, it maps each letter to a visually similar character from a different Unicode block. The Unicode Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block (U+1D400–U+1D7FF) defines mathematical bold, italic, bold-italic, script, and Fraktur variants of the Latin alphabet. Bubble letters use the Enclosed Alphanumerics block. Circled letters, fullwidth characters, and combining diacritics are drawn from other Unicode ranges. Because these are real Unicode characters, they paste and render correctly in any app that supports Unicode — no special font installation is required.

Accessibility limitations of fancy Unicode text

While fancy Unicode text looks like styled typography, it is not semantically equivalent to bold or italic HTML markup. Screen readers may announce Unicode mathematical letters by their technical names — "mathematical bold capital H" rather than simply "H" — making content difficult to follow for users relying on assistive technology. Search engines also cannot reliably relate Unicode lookalike letters to their ASCII equivalents, so using fancy text in headings or meta descriptions can harm SEO. Reserve fancy text for decorative contexts such as social media display names and bios where accessibility and search indexability are not required.

Glossary

Unicode block
A contiguous range of Unicode code points allocated to a particular script, symbol set, or character category.
Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols
A Unicode block (U+1D400–U+1D7FF) containing styled mathematical variants of Latin and Greek letters used in mathematical notation and repurposed for decorative text.
Combining diacritic
A Unicode character that modifies the preceding base character — such as a combining strikethrough (U+0336) — without occupying its own horizontal space.
Glyph
The visual shape of a character as rendered by a font; different glyphs can represent the same Unicode code point across different typefaces.
Fullwidth character
A character variant occupying the same width as a CJK ideograph; fullwidth Latin letters exist in the Halfwidth and Fullwidth Forms block (U+FF01–U+FF5E).
