What contact details can I include?

Name, phone, email, company, job title, website, postal address and a note all fit in the vCard payload. Each maps to a standard field (FN, TEL, EMAIL, ORG, and so on), so they import cleanly into the right slots in any address book.

Why is my vCard QR code so dense?

Every extra field adds data, and more data means a denser pattern. Keep it to essential fields, raise the error-correction level if needed, and print at a larger size so the busy code still scans reliably.

Can I update my details after printing the card?

No. A vCard QR is static — the contact data is encoded directly — so new details require a new code. That is the trade-off for it being free, private and free of any redirect or tracking server.

Does scanning add the contact automatically?

Not silently. The phone shows an Add Contact screen pre-filled with the encoded fields, and the user confirms to save. This prevents unwanted entries while still skipping all the manual typing.

What is the difference between vCard and MECARD?

vCard (RFC 6350) is the widely supported standard and imports everywhere. MECARD is an older, more compact format from early Japanese phones that produces a smaller code but has patchier support, so vCard is the safer choice today.
