How to use Business Name Generator

Generate catchy, brandable business and company name ideas from your keyword or niche theme. The generator combines your keyword with a curated library of tech-forward prefixes and suffixes to produce dozens of startup-style name ideas in seconds. Use it to brainstorm brand names for a new product, startup, side project, or any venture where you need a memorable, domain-ready name. All generation happens locally — your keyword is never sent to a server.

  1. Enter your primary keyword or niche (e.g. "cloud", "health", "swift", "solar").
  2. Set the number of name ideas to generate (5–50).
  3. Click "Generate Names" to produce a fresh batch of brandable combinations.
  4. Browse the list and click Copy next to any name you like.
  5. Click "Generate Names" again for a completely new set of ideas, or change the keyword to explore a different niche.

Your data never leaves your device — 100% private processing.

How business names are constructed

The generator uses three combination strategies: (1) a tech-forward prefix + your keyword (e.g. "NovaSolar", "ApexHealth"); (2) your keyword + a functional suffix (e.g. "HealthHub", "SwiftAI"); and (3) prefix + suffix blends that are keyword-inspired (e.g. "PrismGrid", "ApexFlow"). Prefixes and suffixes are drawn from a 200+ word curated list of modern, brandable terms commonly found in successful tech and consumer brand names. Each combination is unique within a batch, ensuring you get a diverse set of ideas rather than variations on a single pattern.

Checking availability before committing

A generated name is only a starting point. Before building a brand around any name, verify: (1) Domain availability — check if the .com, .io, or .co TLD is unregistered using a domain registrar. (2) Trademark search — run a search in the USPTO TESS database (US) or EUIPO (EU) to ensure the name is not trademarked in your industry class. (3) Social media handles — search Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok for username availability. (4) Existing companies — run a Google search to identify any businesses with the same or similar name. Securing brand consistency across domain and social channels is critical for SEO and discoverability.

Characteristics of a strong brand name

The most memorable business names share several traits: they are short (1–3 syllables is ideal), easy to spell phonetically, distinctive within the industry, and work visually as a logo. Tech and SaaS companies favor suffix patterns like "AI", "Hub", "Labs", "IO", and "Sync" because they signal modernity and scalability. Consumer brands often favor evocative nature or abstract terms (Nova, Arc, River) that carry positive associations without being category-specific. Avoid names that are too generic (just "CloudApp") or too similar to established competitors.
