Scientific Calculator
A full-featured scientific calculator in your browser. Supports sin/cos/tan, log/ln, powers, roots, factorials, parentheses, memory functions, and degree/radian modes.
Expressions are evaluated left-to-right. Use parentheses to control order of operations.
How to use Scientific Calculator
The scientific calculator supports trigonometry (sin, cos, tan and inverses), logarithms, exponents, square roots, factorial, memory functions (M+, MR, MC) and both degree and radian mode. It evaluates expressions left-to-right with support for parentheses to control order of operations. Results can be copied for use in other tools.
- Use the keypad to build your expression.
- Toggle between DEG and RAD mode for trigonometric functions.
- Use M+, MR, MC for memory store, recall and clear.
- Press = to evaluate; press C or AC to clear.
Your data never leaves your device — 100% private processing.
Trigonometric functions and degree vs radian mode
Trigonometric functions can operate in degrees (0–360°) or radians (0–2π). sin(90°) = sin(π/2 rad) = 1. Most scientific and engineering work uses radians; most everyday applications use degrees. Remember to switch modes before entering trig calculations: sin(30) in degree mode returns 0.5, while sin(30) in radian mode returns about −0.988.
Memory functions and calculation history
Memory functions (M+, MR, MC) let you store intermediate results and recall them in subsequent expressions. M+ adds the current display value to memory; MR recalls it; MC clears memory. For multi-step calculations — like computing a value, storing it, then using it in a second expression — memory is faster and less error-prone than copying results manually. The history panel shows previous calculations for reference.
